Dan
Connell is a writer, photographer and public speaker who teaches journalism
and African politics at Simmons College, Boston. His work focuses mainly
on Eritrea, but it has ranged across Africa and the Middle East to Central
America and the Philippines. The cross-cutting themes are democracy and
social justice and the indispensable linkage between them. He has written
numerous books and articles. He founded and directed two NGOs. He is
now engaged with a work of fiction. This site sketches his output.
